Volunteer + Craft: Wattle Fences

This new series of events combines crafting and volunteering! We are focusing on historic crafts and gardening skills. Learn something new, help us out and take home part of the project.

Wattle Fence– Try your hand at this historic craft! We will be using brush and branches cleared from the site (Aspen, mulberry and buckthorn) to enclose our small crop garden. Learn the basic techniques and then build your own hurdle (moveable fence panel) or trellis!

We will use hammers, mallets, small nails and pruning shears and clippers. No experience necessary, this project is suitable for 12+ with an adult.
